  • Price: At base model price, the new 2018 Acura RDX starts at $36,000 MSRP, while the new Acura MDX starts at $44,200 MSRP.
  • Horsepower: Both vehicles come equipped with a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 engine, however the engine the RDX produces 279-horsepower while the engine in the MDX produces 290-horsepower.
  • Fuel Economy: With such similar engines, it's no surprise that the RDX achieves a combined 23 mpg city/highway while the MDX achieves a close 22 mpg highway/city combined mpg. Take into consideration that the MDX offers over 19 gallons of fuel capacity while the RD offers 16 gallons.
